ABOUT KODAMANITHAYA KSHETRA PADUBIDRI (BALU POOJARY HOUSE)
This kshetra is located on the shore of Arabian Sea in Padubidri of Kapu Taluk, Udupi District, Karnataka. Padubidri is approximately 22 KM south of Udupi and 38 KM north of Mangalore on the NH-66. Padubidri is known as a spiritual center because there are so many kshetras like Mahalingeshwara Maha Ganapati, Khadgeshwari brahmasthana, Bala Ganapati, Kerama Subrahmanya to name a few. Kodamanithaya Daivasthana is a private religious shrine maintained by Balu Poojary clan (kutumba) for over 3-4 centuries The location of the shrine is between Padubidri Beach and River Kamini. The atmosphere is picturesque all time of the year.
THE DEITIES IN THE KSHETRA The main complex houses two shrines namely, Sri Kodamanithaya & Sri Ullaya Dharmarasu in the main shrine and Sri Maisandaya, Sri Dhoomavati & Banta and also, Sri Marala Dhoomavati & Banta in the second shrine. The kutumba has also been worshipping Moola Panjurli, Annappa Panjurli, Satya Devate, Varte Panjurli, Jala Baikadi, Guliga, Rahu, Jattinga, Chavndi etc all positioned outside the compound but in appropriate places. Balu Poojary Kutumba is also maintaining a Nagabana nearby which also has been patronaged by devotees of all caste and creed.
